Amish Living

The Amish grow their own food, from cows and chickens to honeybees; from their own farms and gardens; and make their own products based on what they or their community raise. They are famous for Friendship Bread, homemade noodles, pot roast, and special desserts like shoofly pie, whoopie pie, and custards. Many small Amish farmers are turning organic, which financially improves the ability of these small farms to survive. Amish recipes reflect all of these things.
